1970: BREVETTI WAF WAS FOUNDED IN ITALY

Brevetti WAF was founded by the mechanical designer Walter Fortunato in 1970, near Vicenza in the heart of north-east Italy, and the city of Andrea Palladio. For over 40 years, BREVETTI WAF has been exporting the culture of wine drinking and the personality of Italian-made products, throughout Europe. Whether you’re in a major capital city, at a country inn, a wine bar in Milan or a hostelry in Bordeaux, a bistro in Cortina or at the prosecco fair in Valdobbiadene, you’ll always find a BREVETTI WAF object somewhere. Have a look next time you’re out.

Before a company the size of Brevetti WAF came a man with his dreams, inventions and hard work: the work of a lifetime.

PASSIONATE ABOUT INTERPRETING AND NARRATING THE WORLD OF WINE

Joy, warmth and congeniality are feelings that determine how we experience life and form a unique bond between the people who pour the wine and the people who drink it. The early designs for the Mario and Maria stoppers are based on this foundation, and were created with the idea of an object that conveys a convivial, cheerful feeling.
